Giving Books

The gift of books for birthday presents or for Christmas is one of the most beneficial presents parents can give their children. As well as helping enhance their imaginations, books do the vital job of extending a child’s vocabulary.

Children pick up good writing techniques without thinking about it as they are exposed to the different ways authors express their ideas and stories in imaginative ways. So there is a powerful link between reading and writing. Encouraging children to read widely, both fiction and non-fiction, is such an important strategy parents can use to help their children become better writers. So whislt children may want this or that latest gadget, we recommend incuding books in a present list.
