Deborah Williams-Kent B.Ed (Hons) QTS
Cambridge English Tutor – Deborah Williams-Kent is a primary teacher with over 15 years experience of teaching in schools throughout Cambridgeshire and Essex. Deborah provides expert tutoring in all subjects including Literacy, Numeracy and Science. Her good sense of humour and excellent communication skills ensure a positive working relationship with pupils and parents.

During her career, Deborah has taught all school years from year 1 to year 6. She has experience of assisting children to achieve success in SATs examinations in both key stages. Additionally, her experience extends to teaching in a mixture of small rural schools and large urban one. Also, Deborah has taught overseas in Spain for 5 years.
Deborah has experience of working with children with special needs including ADHD, autism and dyslexia. Furthermore, she can tailor each child’s learning programme to meet their special learning needs. Deborah is adept at teaching children individually or in small groups.
When there’s a need, Deborah will provide immediate help and explain tricky concepts by using a range of techniques. These are designed to help visual, aural or hands on learners as appropriate. She enjoys celebrating each student’s successes.
In addition to being an experienced English tutor of primary school pupils, Deborah is currently studying to become a councellor. This provides her with the skills to listen and respond to the pupil’s needs on both an academic and pastoral level.
